William Edward (Buck) Stickler

William Edward (Buck) Stickler, 66, of Dunkirk, IN, passed away July 6, 2023, peacefully while in the company of family members at his residence. Buck was born in Huntington, WV, on September 8, 1956 a son of the late Betty Louise (Stickler) Shelby. He was a graduate of Monroe Central High School and was formerly employed by McGuff Roofing, Inc. in Muncie, IN. Buck was a member of the Roofers Union Local 119, and enjoyed eagles, watching NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Indianapolis Colts, IU Basketball, westerns, John Wayne, local and world news, listening to CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams, Jr., Johnny Cash, collecting Zippo Lighters, baseball caps, recipes, news articles, reading murder mysteries, the funny pages, telling stories and jokes. Buck will be remembered as a strong willed and loyal friend, with a wonderful sense of humor, who loved children, helping others, and the comforts of home. He is survived by 1 brother; Glen W. Wilburn (Barb), 3 sisters; Tina L. Wilburn, Judy V. Halsey, Susan C. Ewers (Tom), 4 nieces, 8 nephews, several great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece. Buck was preceded in death by his mother Betty, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 4-6 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Buck's honor to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries.
