 Thomas William Wheat, 69, of  Warren, IN, formerly of Redkey, IN, passed away Thursday, April 13th, 2023 unexpectedly at his residence. Tom was born in Portland, IN. on February 9, 1954, a son of the late Marjorie Louise (Jackson) and Thomas Wenfield Wheat. He was a 19 72 graduate of Redkey High School and was formerly employed as a carpenter for 3M Construction. Tom was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, avid Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed baseball, basketball,  playing Pool, watching sprint car, NASCAR, hunting shows, the Price is Right, Gun Smoke, listening to 80's & 90's  rock, country music and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by 2 daughters; Danielle L. Wheat (Andrew Welty), Candance R. Morgan (husband Billy), 2 sisters; Rebecca L. White (husband Steve), Sylvia J. Hedge (husband Greg), 6 grandchildren; Caylynn Hamilton, Colton Norris, Cassandra Hamilton, Carrianna Hamilton, Aryal Morgan, Christopher Vebert Jr., 2 great grandchildren; Everley Manlove, Eliana Norris, and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 grandchild; Aryan Morgan. Services will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral arrangements (PO Box 25 Redkey, IN. 47373). Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
