Shelly Reed Obituary

Shelly Ann Frederick-Reed, 49, of Muncie, IN passed away Friday, January 26th, 2024, peacefully while in the company of family after weeks of fighting fungal pneumonia at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, IN. Shelly was born in Vincennes, IN, on November 14th, 1974, daughter of the late Marlin Frederick and Deborah (Lynch) Kissell. Shelly attended Wes-Del High School. She was an avid dog and plant lover. She took pride in decorating, cleaning and organizing her little part of the world. Shelly was the life of the party, and no one was a stranger in her presence. Shelly was the most resilient person, always figuring out a way to try and make her life better. Shelly enjoyed lending a hand where she could.  She had an ambition to help Domestic Violence Victims and women in recovery. She is survived by her 3 adult children (JD Cole, Jade Ault, and Brooklyn Brown) and 6 grandchildren. Shelly was extremely close with her older and only sister Sherry Brown. They had an unbreakable bond most sisters do not get the wonderful chance to have. Shelly also leaves her significant other Will Moore of Anderson, IN and her dog “Sissy”. Shelly is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, special cousin Joni, and beloved dog Jake. Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 10th  from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Farmland Cultural Center in downtown Farmland, IN. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lighthouse Ministries in Muncie, IN to give hope to women in recovery urbanlightcdc.org/lighthouse envelopes will be available at the remembrance.
