Ronald Kent Charlton

Ronald Kent Charlton, 74, of Farmland, IN, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 unexpectedly at his residence. Ron was born in Muncie, IN, on April 18, 1949 a son of the late Clara M. (Johnson) and Everett W. Charlton. Following high school he proudly served in the United States Navy, and formerly worked in sales for alarm and security systems, as well as reserve for the Muncie Police Department, and a local bounty hunter. Ron also know as “Ramrod” was a very funny and social man who loved family gatherings, his red Camaro, telling ghosts stories around the camp fire, fishing, making funny home videos, watching movies, collecting coins, and playing video games. He is survived by 2 brothers; Forrest and Dennis Charlton, several nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Veronica Charlton, brother Lynden Charlton, 3 sisters; Garrie Blount, Sharon Whitaker, Carmen Duncan, and his favorite cat Jo Jo. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 at 12PM at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie, IN, with military honors performed by the Randolph County Veterans. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MJS Mortuaries (PO Box 25 Redkey, IN. 47373) to help with his final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel.
