 Rocky Allen Patterson, 67, of  Dunkirk, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 peacefully at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. Rocky was born in Portland, IN, on May 6, 1956 a son of the late Shirley Anne (Towne) and Howard Allen Patterson. He was a former student of Dunkirk High School and was formerly employed in  Assembly at Franklin Electric in Bluffton, IN. Rocky attended Glad Tidings Church in Dunkirk, IN, and enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle, walking at the Muncie Mall, yearly trips to the ocean, watching the Miami Dolphins, IU Basketball, and listening to his favorite band Journey. He will be remembered as a very dedicated, determined, hardworking, and outspoken man who loved to tease and never knew a stranger. Rocky is survived by 1 son; Jeremy Patterson, 1 daughter; Devon Weaver (Matt), 3 brothers; Brad Patterson (Jackie), Shannon Patterson, Montey Patterson (Deneen), 1 sister; Marita Workman (Ted), and 3 grandchildren; Lori Moon, Kaelyn Weaver, Landon Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents Shirley and Howard Patterson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10-12 at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 12 PM. Burial will be held at a later date in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries.
