 Ricky Duane Younger, 66, of  Redkey, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at his home. He was born in Portland, IN, on December 4, 1956, a son of Gladys M. (Younger) Sain and John C. Goodhew. Rick was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an animal lover with a heart of gold, and avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan. Rick Enjoyed singing Karaoke, writing music and poems, and playing Jeopardy.  He is survived by his parents, 2 sons; Damien D. Younger (Carrie), Jack Cooper, 2 daughters; Sharayah Cooper (Scott), A.J. Brems, 1 brother; Floyd Caldwell (Sara), 1 sister; Janet Jacob (Shawn), 7 grandchildren; Dylan Brotherton, Cole Brotherton, Carly Brotherton, Summer Younger, Ashtyn Younger, Madison Younger, Felicity Reay, and 2 great grandchildren; Brynlee Brotherton, and Emberli Borger. Rick was preceded in death by his great grandparents; Kenny and Nellie Younger and 1 brother; Rodney Caldwell.  A celebration of life service and military honors will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11 AM. Fellowship will follow in Vals Bar & Grill from 12-4 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home (PO Box 25 Redkey, IN. 47373). Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
