 Jerry Lee Greer

 Jerry Lee Greer, 76, of  New Castle, IN, formerly of Muncie, IN, passed away Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, peacefully while in the company of family members at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. Jerry was born on November 30, 1946, a son of the late Wilma Jean (Maddy) and Glenn Edward Greer. He was a 1964 graduate of  Muncie Central High School and was formerly employed as a maintenance mechanic for Indiana Glass Manufacturing until their closing and his formal retirement. Jerry was the loving husband of Mildred I. (Harness) Greer who he happily married in January of 1972 and sadly lost in 2021. He was a very meticulous and determined man who loved the Lord, his wife, family and the comforts of home. Jerry enjoyed watching Western's, IU Basketball, fishing, camping, collecting guns, listening to country music and keeping a well maintained and perfectly detailed yard. He is survived by 2 daughters; Wendy Lynch (Ramon Quintero), Kelly Metoyer (Gerard), 1 step daughter; Kathy Thomson (Ed), 2 step sons; Mike Zimmerman (Nellie), Garry Zimmerman (Kim), 2 brothers; Michael Greer (Mary), Joseph Greer (Lelia), 1 sister; Rita Clock (Hubie Mills), 2 uncles; Bill Maddy (Regina), Joe Jarnigan, a special friend; Gary Marcum, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a step son; Larry Zimmerman. As per Jerry's wishes there will be no formal funeral services. He will be laid to rest with his wife Mildred in Antioch Cemetery in Portland, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
