 Jeric C. Coons, 29, of  Redkey, IN, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 4th, 2023 at his home. Jeric was born in Portland, IN, on December 17, 1993 to Jimmy L. and Melody (Ines) Coons. He attended Jay County Schools, later completing his education online and furthering his education at Ivy Tech. Jeric worked in dispatch for a petroleum products company and was the loving husband of Stephanie Amber (Huff) Coons who he happily married on July 17, 2017. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing video games, card games, Anime, wrestling, the Green Bay Packers, music, camping, hunting, collecting cards, glass bottles, figurines, and shoes. Jeric loved life, his family, friends, supporting Deric in football, and watching Serenity and Meric play. He is survived by his wife Stephanie A. Coons, 3 small children; Deric N., Serenity L., and Meric C. Coons, his parents Jimmy L. and Melody Coons, 1 brother James L. Coons, 2 grandmothers; Ruth E. Coons, Fe Ines, mother in law Karen A. Huff, 2 sister in laws, 1 brother in law, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeric was preceded in death by his 2 grandfathers; James L. Coons, Jaime Ines, 1 aunt Debra K. Coons, and his father in law John E. Huff. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 11-1 at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, IN. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made directly to the funeral home to help with final expenses (PO Box 25 Redkey, IN. 47373 or call 765-369-2016).
