 Gerald Wayne Greene, 73, of  Dunkirk, IN, passed away Saturday, August 12th, 2023 unexpectedly at his residence. Wayne was born in Milan, IN, on December 5, 1949, a son of the late Pauline Elizabeth (Montgomery) and Donald Edward Greene. He was a 1967 graduate of Dunkirk High School, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was formerly employed by Indiana Glass until his retirement in 2004. Wayne was the loving husband of the late Deborah A. (Frontz) Greene who he sadly lost in 2017. He was a member of the Dunkirk American Legion and Military Detail, Moose Lodge, former VFW secretary, volunteered at the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department Haunted Woods every year, collected model trains, built model cars and airplanes, enjoyed planting flowers, watching western's, Star Trek, listening to 50's, 60's, country music and spoiling people with meals and gifts. He is survived by 4 children; Gary D. Greene, Tommy M. Greene (Susie L.), James A. Myers (Trish), Nora M. Toole, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, wife Deborah, 2 brothers; Ronnie Greene and Rick Greene. Services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Dunkirk American Legion Post 227 Fire Truck Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries.
