Donald Duane Friddle
Donald Duane Friddle, 64, of Redkey, IN, passed away Monday, October 16th, 2023 peacefully in the comforts of his home. Donnie was born in Muncie, IN, on December 7, 1958, a son of the late Mary Alice (Rantz) and Donald Lee Friddle. He was a 1977 graduate of Redkey High School, formerly attended Redkey United Methodist Church and was the loving husband of Perlita D. (Dakig) Friddle who he happily married on February 14, 2009. He was a member of Halfway Lodge #298, Redkey Volunteer Fire Department, and Local #1049 MITTS Bus Union, Life member of AAU Allied. He was former co-owner and operator of the Redkey Shell Station, and Phillips 66 Station, he was also Redkey Town Marshall, worked for Delaware Tool and Die, was a gifted mechanic, loved mowing, coaching youth programs, helping children, fishing, trips to Florida riding Jet Ski's and boating, riding his golf cart with his wife, Harley Davidson, listening to the Gaither's, loved animals, his dogs Charlie and Mia, spending time with his grandchildren and buying them things. Donnie is survived by his wife Perlita, son Lane A. Zaugg (Sammy Caster), daughter Taylor J. Steed (Cory Mock), brother Jeff Friddle (Martha), 5 grandchildren; Camila Zaugg, Laila Kongar, Mazie Zaugg, Alden Zaugg, Kaley Pettus, his second mother; Donna Olvey special friends; Rob Boyer, Reni and Kevin Lawhead, Esther Hollowell, Rita White, Aunt Wanda and several cousins in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Donald Friddle, and 2 nephews; James K. "Jamie" Friddle, and Justin Wade Friddle. Graveside services will be held privately at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, IN. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
