Dale E. Motter, 71, of Pennville, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 peacefully while in the company of family members. Dale was born in Portland, IN on September 7, 1951, a son of the late Inez (Walker) and Roy Motter. He was formerly employed by Cooper Farms and was the devoted husband of Lucy I. (Jones) Motter who he happily married on December 20, 1974. He loved his wife with all his heart and cherished all of the moments they spent together. Dale enjoyed spending time and being silly with his grandchildren, his dog Penny, working on small motors and engines, cutting wood, fishing, collecting knives, listening to country music, watching Western's and Wheel of Fortune. He will always be remembered as a caring, funny and helpful man, who would lift you up if you were sad and always put others first. He is survived by his wife Lucy I. (Jones) Motter, 2 daughters; April R. Beeson (John) and Melany S. Hollopeter, 1 brother and 1 sister, his best friend; Jim Myers (Mary), 5 grandchildren; Ashley Twigg, Alyssa Motter, Lexi Motter, Jade Bergman and Robert Culpper, and 5 great grandchildren; Payten, Emmy, Jaylee, Bowen and Luna. Dale is preceded in death by his parents. At the request of the family there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help with final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries- Redkey Chapel.
