 Cathy J. Ellingwood, 67, of Redkey, IN, passed away Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 peacefully, at Persimmon Ridge, in Portland, IN. Cathy was born in Portland, IN, on March 19, 1956, a daughter of the late Daisy M. (Page) and Ralph R. Ellingwood. She was a 1974 graduate of Redkey High School, a dedicated homemaker and attended the Redkey Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crafts, painting, drawing, puzzles, and helping with vacation bible school. Cathy will be remembered as a very mild tempered, humble, kind and gentle woman who loved the Lord, children and to help others. She is survived by 2 brothers, Raymond Ellingwood (wife Lana) of Redkey, IN; Terry Ellingwood (wife Sherry) of Portland, IN; 2 nieces, Ronyelle Edwards (husband Greg), of Portland, IN; Nylisa Davis (husband Doug) of Redkey, IN; 1 nephew, Clifford Ellingwood of Portland, IN; and several great nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Daisy Ellingwood, and her nephew Tyrus Ellingwood. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 12-2 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Chuck Hollandbeck officiating. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, IN.  Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
